Margie Currier began her work with youth right out of college when she spent 10 years as a domestic violence and sexual assault counselor in New London County; providing counseling, advocacy and crisis intervention to families impacted by violence. She then took several years to stay home with her children and returned to the work force as an Interventionist in an elementary school. That position allowed her to help struggling students fill in gaps they had in meeting their educational goals. She enjoyed watching them grow in all aspects of their learning through small group and individual instruction. In her spare time Margie enjoys spending time with family, reading, baking and hiking. She enjoys watching young people realize their potential and is looking forward to this new opportunity at Empowering Tomorrow Foundation.
